Meet the Author and Illustrator
Adam Motz grew up curious about everything and he’s excited to try to answer all the questions his own kids will ask him. The music director at a queer, storytelling bar church, he spends his weekdays working as an attorney. A Nebraska native, he now lives in Chicago with his husband, Tee, and his two energetic daughters, Reve and Sky. He loves baking, playing the piano, and all things Christmas. Illustrator Jordan Aspiras (she/her) is a twenty-something, interracial woman of color. Art serves as a tool of comfort and peace in her life. The author of the poetry book, Sunshine Woman, she continues to explore mediums and expressions through which to encapsulate her personal and professional identities. This delightful work simplistically but sweetly answers, “I tell you, my child / that you come from love,” followed by 25 colorful pages detailing myriad ways that love can manifest.
